As I was looking for the appropriate host for this site, I looked at the traditional requirements, like how well it stacked up band width and what type of customer support they had It was important to me to know was the hosting company understood their impact on the environment. What they were doing to lessen their carbon foot print was important to me.
That is why I choose ipage. They understand alternative energy sources and use wind power as their primary energy source. They are located in several countries, so their impact on the global carbon footprint is greater. I also liked that they were an EPA Green Partner.
As you may know the technology that we use has a huge impact on our environment. Like everything we look at the impacts on the environment are vast.
